About Us

At Ashton House we aim to enable elderly people to continue living as independently as possible by receiving 24 hour residential and nursing care support consistent with their incapacities and disabilities.  We provide a high standard of accommodation and care, and our policy is to provide residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which care, wellbeing and comfort are of prime importance.

We value each and every individual who comes to live at Ashton House, welcoming applications from people from all walks of life.  You are assured that all residents will be treated with dignity and respect according to their individual wishes.

Our beautiful gardens have been landscaped for the enjoyment of our residents, and our home is accessible to wheelchair users.

How is our care provided

The residents individually agreed care plan forms the basis for us to provide our care.  The plan will include details of health needs, social interests and activities and how these are to be met.  The plan will also include preference in respect of how the resident would like to be addressed, and what dignity, respect and privacy means to them in terms of daily behaviour and actions.

All meal times are flexible and you can arrange to have your meal in your own bedroom or in the dining room. Menus are varied and favourite dishes and special diets can be catered for.

The home offers a wide range of activities designed for all residents to take an interest in.

Medical care is provided by the local General Practitioner of the resident’s choice.  The home has retainer GP’s who visit weekly.    Referrals to specialist services and facilities can be arranged through the GP.

There is a weekly visiting hairdresser and six weekly visiting chiropodists.

Visitors are welcome at all reasonable times.
